ProEd Merch

The Chinese word for ProEd, 博, is encapsulated within a heart, showing our love for ProEd. In the background, there is a butterfly. Butterflies are known to be beautiful, doubly so because of its metamorphosis from an ordinary, normal caterpillar, hence it is a symbol of transformation and hope. This expresses the hope that the ProEd family may serve as a cocoon for ProEdians, allowing students to be slowly nurtured in this warm, transformational family, enabling even the most ‘normal’ and ‘ordinary’ students to excel and become beautiful in their own right.

The logo serves in part to expand on the 'wave' design of 2022, by showing that the Council now hopes that ProEdians will go further than just the surface, and go deeper. It is designed to express the Council's hope that ProEdians would grow to become fearless explorers, pushing frontiers and conquering the uncharted, like the diver in the logo. This, the Council feels, is especially relevant in the fast-changing era we live in today, with boundaries constantly being pushed and new frontiers being explored. We hope that ProEdians will develop into courageous innovators and explorers, like the diver, pushing the right boundaries and explore the new frontiers technology has exposed, becoming innovative and fearless leaders in research, industry and government, to serve our nation.
