Hi Hwachongians, ProEdian or otherwise! Welcome to the introductory issue of the ProEd Post!
Now, you may ask, what's this ProEd Post thing? It's a new initiative by the ProEd Council to keep everyone updated on the Council's work, highlight special deals or new programmes introduced by the Council, and provide everyone with ideas for the weekend or holiday!
Firstly, let's take a brief look at this new initiative as a whole. We'll be publishing three different types of blogposts under the ProEd Post, namely Overviews, Updates and Specials, and all posts will be made available on this website.
Now onto the content we'll be producing. Overviews will be termly, longer issues of the ProEd Post, focused on providing a summary of the previous term's activities, while giving a look into what can be expected in the coming term, be it about academics, school events or ProEd Council Initiatives. Any large overhauls or new initiatives will also be introduced here. These will be uploaded at the start of each term, so do look out for them!
Updates, on the other hand, are shorter, briefer posts providing, as the name suggests, updates on what's to come, or on the delivery of various promises. These will come more frequently.
Finally, Specials are posts published before special occasions, like Teachers' Day or school holidays, outlining potential activities for these times or providing event planners. These suggestions, recommendations and planners will be produced by the Council's own committees.
Before we end off, we would like to credit the following for the work on the site:
Skyler Chew
Jaydan Choo
Audric Yeoh
Tay Yu Le
Wu Yehan
We hope you'll enjoy the ProEd Post, and will support it as we ramp up content production. Watch this space!
Yours sincerely,
Lee Zhi He
Vice-Chairman and General Secretary of the ProEd Council
Editor-In-Chief of the ProEd Post 2024
